Research foci:
mixed-methods research; qualitative and quantitative research; practice theories and methodology, youth welfare research; research in the field of violence and child protection (in particular prevention of sexual violence against children and youths); research on socio-educational profession; psychosocial counselling

Field of work:
Marie-Theres Pooch is educational scientist (further degree programmes: General pedagogy and sociology) interested in prevention of violence. She uses quantitative and qualitative methods, primarly mixed-methods research and practical methodology. Her substantive fields of research include mulit-perspective research, applied research, interviews/quantitative questioning of experts and youths.

Currently she works in the research project „Evaluation of the Implementation of the Istanbul Konvention in Baden-Wuerttemberg“ commissioned by the Ministry of Social Affairs, Health and Integration Baden-Wuerttemberg (Ministerium für Soziales, Gesundheit und Integration Baden-Württemberg; project term from June 2021 to July 2022).
